As part of Engineers Week 2014 we hosted the live show, "Airmazing: Engineering the Future with Pneumatics" combined live science demonstrations, an engaging multimedia presentation with plenty of volunteer and audience interaction.

James Soper (aka The Juggling Scientist) demonstrated the physics, chemistry and engineering concepts of the air. He demonstrated that pneumatics, especially the latest engineering developments using pneumatics in car propulsion, will be a very important branch of engineering in the future. He performed three shows during the day.

Pupils from our local primary schools - St Malachy’s, St Eithne’s, St Colmcille’s, Holy Trinity and St Bendict’s - came to watch the show, and even took part in the demonstrations. They are well used to Ardscoil la Salle by now, regularly making an appearance to do activities such as pottery, etc.
