On Tuesday 2nd May a group of our Geography senior students accompanied by Ms. McGovern, Mr. Kelly and Ms. McMahon visited the National Stud and Japanese Gardens in Tully, Co. Kildare.
The day consisted of an extremely informative tour in which our guide imparted knowledge on various aspects of the workings in the National Stud.
The students had the opportunity to observe the horses in their natural environment, from thoroughbred foals to some of Ireland's most famous racehorses like "Invincible Spirit & "Hurricane Fly".
Following a talk and on various bloodstock equipment and items, the group took in the beauty and tranquility of the Japanese & St. Fiachra's Gardens.
An fun and educational day was had by all!
