It was great to see parents in yesterday for our Social Cooking for Parents Activity.
They thoroughly enjoyed themselves and cooked an exotic meal which they ate together. They also baked a lemon drizzle cake to take home to the family. Everyone is coming back next week!
All are welcome to come to next Wednesdays session at 9.30-11.30am. For details Click Here
If you bring a container you can bring the meal home.
Please click the link to book - we need an estimate of numbers for whom to buy ingredients. The form has only three questions and only needs your name and mobile number.
You can also book by TEXT: "Cookery Class" to 086 750 9998 INCLUDING YOUR NAME
Ardscoil La Salle is now recognised as an International School of Distinction.

Spike all is a 4 v 4 adapted Volleyball game. It has only been introduced in Ireland over the last 3 years. It provides first ans second year with a fun and rewarding volleyball experience. On Wednesday 4th October, eight of our first years took part in a blitz competition in Sutton Park Secondary School. They had great fun learning this new game, and made us very proud of their display during the blitz. We look forward to seeing their participation in future competitions.
TY art students working on the Brown Thomas Christmas window with Leigh Murray at his workshop in Meath. Thanks to Volkswagen for lending us a bus to get there, to Larry for driving us and Leigh for his warm welcome. We all had a great day out and learned loads of new skills.
Earlier this year the Parents Association purchased 12 rose bushes to start off the memorial garden to remember those staff and pupils that have passed away. They have been planted alongside the tree that was planted to remember the late Dean McMahon, a past pupil who sadly died. They are also alongside the magnolia tree planted to remember Alan Higgins who died tragically in 2002 while still attending the school.
It is hoped that we can expand this space so that it becomes an area of reflection and beauty in tribute to all past pupils and staff. We welcome any suggestions on planting or borders or memorial plaques or stones. Indeed if you would like to help out with planting etc it would be most appreciated.
Perhaps you know a past pupil or staff member that has passed away whose family might like them to be remembered, if so get in touch with us through the school office. Maybe you would like to donate towards the planting in memory of a past pupil or staff member.
Next year is the schools jubilee year. We are hoping to have an official opening ceremony for the garden of remembrance. If you have any ideas in relation to this or want to be involved please get in touch.
