Limited Places available for First Year in 2020

Local schools (in the Howth Deanery) have now applied through the Deanery form. However, each year there are a limited number of places for direct application to the school. Anyone may apply directly. The number of places is very limited, as Ardscoil La Salle makes a feature of small classes and an overall number which allows every student to know every other student. These 'extra' places are expected to be taken up very quickly. If you are interested please phone 01 848 0055 or email .

This year has been a particularly busy one with our students working through the new Junior Cycle courses in more subjects and taking part in the numerous activities that are taking place throughout the year, including BT Young Scientist, Worldwise Global Schools awards, College for Every Student (CFES), the TY Mini-Company Fair, Lasallian Family Awards, Homework club, Music club and much more. There really is something for everyone in Ardscoil La Salle.

On the sports field we have had great performances from our boys and girls GAA soccer teams. A particular mention has to go to our girls soccer team which has grown from a small group of dedicated players to a full squad taking on very established teams and winning. Basketball has grown again this year for boys and girls and no doubt they will build on this year’s success into the future.

This year has seen us continue to develop strong links with DCU and in particular with their Teacher Training Education Dept. in St. Pats Drumcondra. They have put in a number of supports for our students to help make that move to 3 rd level and to a career in teaching that bit easier. This is a fantastic opportunity for our students and we hope to further develop this relationship with DCU in the coming years.

We have had a busy year celebrating our 50 th Jubilee. The highlight of our celebrations was a Past Pupils Open Evening in November where past pupils and past staff got the chance to wander around the corridors and reminisce about the good times they had here and to look at the work that the current students are doing.

Finally, I would like to thank all in the school community, the trustees, the Board of Management, parents, staff, and students for their support during the year. I hope you all enjoy the summer holidays and I look forward to seeing you all again at the end of August.
