This year’s panto was a tremendous success. Well done to all the students involved and thank you to everyone who helped out during the three shows.

Emmanuel took place in The Helix in Feburary. Our school was lucky enough to have three 5th years Laurence Groark, Georgiana Costadanche and Valeria Gilloi take part. Georgiana sang a solo and we were lucky to sing back up in the choir of over 450 students. There were many schools with many amazing and talented students who were also singing and dancing aswell. We loved the experience and we will never forget the overwhelming appreciation form the audience for our choir. It was great to be part of such a big event in The Helix. We are so grateful to have been chosen for this wonderful opportunity.

When we returned after the February mid-term we moved into our new classroom. It is much bigger and brighter than the old one. We also have a new quiet room with lots more equipment.

Its so inviting we will work so much harder to achieve our learning targets.

Monday 4th - Friday 6th February marked the beginning of our annual well being week. Throughout this week students participated in various activities and workshops. The week promotes a positive atmosphere throughout both school environment and work. Not only do we encourage positivity during this week but to carry on throughout the whole school year, bringing hope and motivation to all our students.

As usual Ardscoil La Salle celebrated St Valentine's Day. The Student Council set up their stall in the library, provided the free to all students, and later in the day acted as postman. This is one tradition that will continue long into the future.

On the 7th and 8th of February,TY students Kate Brogan and Paul Hannon traveled to the Le Chéile conference in Athlone. Throughout the two days, we participated in various workshops and activities based around the conference theme of " Welcome, Wisdom and Witness " and got to meet different students from other Le Cheile schools across Ireland. As it was the 10th anniversary conference, everyone was involved in preparing music or artwork for the anniversary mass as it was a special occasion. In the evening, everyone gathered for a big quiz and everyone had lots of fun. The following morning, we rehearsed music and singing for the mass later that afternoon. After the mass, everyone went for lunch and made their way back home. Overall it was a great experience and it was great to meet so many new people and get to be a part of the 10th anniversary Le Chéile conference.
