The students of Leaving Cert 2019 participated in the pilot phase of CFES, College for Every Student, with Trinity College Dublin. Through this five year programme, our students were given the amazing opportunity to explore a range of career paths and post Leaving Cert options, as well as engage in mentoring and leadership in learning activities. During this period, our school was recognised as a 'School of Distinction' by CFES over three consecutive years, due to the work, participation and effort our students displayed during their time here at second level. Their varied progression choices reflect a pathway catered to each of their diverse and individual interests and talents. We here at Ardscoil la Salle wish them every happiness and success in their chosen futures.
This year, Ardscoil la Salle are walking for Darkness into Light, supporting Pieta House. On the 9th of May in the early hours of the morning we will be setting off at Malahide Park to raise money in our support. Registration money must be in by the 25th of February if you wish to donate and participate. There will be a bus organised to and from Malahide Park from the school for any who would like to get involved.
For more information, please talk with Ms. O'Brien or the student council member Alice McLoughlin.
Our 1st year class had an amazing day at the Trinity Science Gallery. They were given an exciting tour of the Gallery and all of the exhibits. Not only did they get to build a Marble Run in groups, but they got to see a 3D Printer work first- hand! Our group took great interest in the interactive exhibits which showcased 'How we control Plastic in our Oceans' and considered 'Plastics and the Environment'. The students found these exhibits extremely interesting and it raised there own sense of environmental awareness! In response to their visit, Trinity Science Gallery found that our students were an "exceptional bunch of people, very well mannered and we were lucky to have them with us, and we would be delighted to have them back anytime in the future." A huge thank you to Trinity Science Gallery for facilitating an enjoyable and educational day.

A huge congratulations to the students who took part in our school talent show, 'Della's Got Talent'! Our overall winner was the highly talented Cody Roche, a 5th year student here at Ardscoil La Salle, whose singing was outstanding. We saw a wide variety of performances and it's safe to say that our students are a talented bunch! Thank you to those who came out in support - we hope you had a great time.
Congratulations to our TYs on the success of their Panto 'Sleeping Cutie'. They dedicated themselves to putting on a wonderful show and definitely delivered. Both nights were filled with laughter, applause and shouts of "He's behind you!!" Thank you to everybody who came out in support - we hope you enjoyed it just as much as we did!
