Moodle

A cookie is a small data file that is downloaded from certain websites. If you personalise pages or save usernames and passwords, cookies will remember your settings. There are two main types of cookie - 1st party (normally used by sites to track the things you look at and remember any settings you change) and 3rd party (used by advertising companies to target ads based on the things you look at). Ardscoil La Salle does not use third party cookies to our knowledge.

First Party cookies

  • MoodleSession: This cookie must be allowed for Moodle to work. It is only used when you are logged in to Moodle or your browser is open. It remembers your username between pages and provides a bit of consistency. As soon as you log out or close your browser, the MoodleSession cookie will be removed.
  • MOODLEID: This just remembers your username. You will have been asked if you want Moodle to remember our username the first time you logged in. You can delete this cookie without affecting performance - you'll just have to retype your username every time you log in.

Moodle will not work correctly unless cookies are enabled

This cookie statement was generated from material from other websites and serves a placeholder until Ardscoil La Salle's Board of Management supplies it's own.
