This week to increase College Awareness within our school community, we have a lineup of guest speakers, activities and workshops planned for all students! Here at Ardscoil La Salle, we want our students to be aware of the opportunities that are available to them after second level, and to realise their own potential.
Have a great College Awareness Week! #CAW
Today marks the final day of 'Stand Up Against LGBTI+ Bullying Week' here at Ardscoil La Salle. Everybody pulled together to take part in our Rainbow Jumper event to show support! It's safe to say that today marked the end of a successful week of raising awareness amongst our school community. We will continue to work hard to ensure that our school is a safe and supportive space for our LGBTI+ students.
This year at Ardscoil La Salle to welcome in College Awareness Week we are hosting a whole- school Poster Competition with the theme of 'My Dream College'. There will be a prize going for the best poster in each year group, and everyone is free to enter!
In the subject of the email, include your Name, Yeargroup and Title of your poster.
Stand Up Awareness Week takes place this year from November 16th - 20th. Stand Up Awareness Week is a time for schools across Ireland to take a stand against homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying. This week at Ardscoil La Salle, we will be taking the opportunity to ensure that our school is a safe and supportive space for our LGBTI+ students, and running various workshops aimed at educating our school community.
Have a great Awareness Week! #equality #anti-bullying
"Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us everyday..."
We remember those no longer with us.
The month of November is traditionally a month where we remember those who are no longer with us and honour their memory. We remember our family, friends, staff members and students who have been part of the Ardscoil La Salle school community.
Many of you will have noticed the new Remembrance Tree in the entrance hall of the school. We invite staff and students to write the names of those they wish to remember on paper leaves and to place them at the foot of the Remembrance Tree.
As such, they represent fallen leaves from the tree of life.
It's great to know that 92% of students, 93% of parents and 82% of teachers surveyed are happy with the COVID-19 Measures we have in place in our school. Thank you to everyone who is working hard to keep our school a safe space during this time!
"When it rains look for rainbows. When it's dark look for stars..."
We would like to thank our 2nd year group for jumping at the opportunity to turn their classroom into a work of art. These beautiful paintings are certainly helping us add colour to our day here at Ardscoil la Salle!! You guys did an amazing job! Keep looking out for Stars...
