"Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us everyday..."
We remember those no longer with us.
The month of November is traditionally a month where we remember those who are no longer with us and honour their memory. We remember our family, friends, staff members and students who have been part of the Ardscoil La Salle school community.
Many of you will have noticed the new Remembrance Tree in the entrance hall of the school. We invite staff and students to write the names of those they wish to remember on paper leaves and to place them at the foot of the Remembrance Tree.
As such, they represent fallen leaves from the tree of life.
It's great to know that 92% of students, 93% of parents and 82% of teachers surveyed are happy with the COVID-19 Measures we have in place in our school. Thank you to everyone who is working hard to keep our school a safe space during this time!
"When it rains look for rainbows. When it's dark look for stars..."
We would like to thank our 2nd year group for jumping at the opportunity to turn their classroom into a work of art. These beautiful paintings are certainly helping us add colour to our day here at Ardscoil la Salle!! You guys did an amazing job! Keep looking out for Stars...
Our Transition Years are taking the opportunity to build their skills in the areas of sustainability, D.I.Y and Horticulture! They're learning about the process of maintaining strong plant growth and creating amazing planters from scratch for their greenery to thrive in. They are certainly showing off their Green Thumbs!
1st Year Subject Tasters 2020
Our 1st Year students had a great time testing out the wide range of subjects we have to offer here at Ardscoil La Salle! They had the chance to create stationary boxes in Woodwork, lava lamps in Science, fruit salad creations in Home- Economics and imaginative lettering in Visual Art, to name a few. We wish them luck with their subject choices - they'll have a great time!
Our ASD Art Therapy class have been creating amazing collage work! The vibrant collage hands show off our students range of skills and creativity. Keep up the hard work!
These days in Art class our students are drawing inspiration from the current climate! Pairing innovation with creativity, our 3rd Year Visual Art students are using coloured dye and wax to design and create stunning patterned face- coverings.
