Local schools (in the Howth Deanery) have now applied through the Deanery form. However, each year there are a limited number of places for direct application to the school. Anyone may apply directly. The number of places is very limited, as Ardscoil La Salle makes a feature of small classes and an overall number which allows every student to know every other student. These 'extra' places are expected to be taken up very quickly. If you are interested please phone 01 848 0055 or email email@example.com .
We'd like to acknowledge the unusual and relatively high number of students who transferred in from other schools this school year. The three reasons most often cited were: small classes with more individual attention, co-education and provision of extra resources. We would also like to acknowledge the extraordinary contributions our 'visiting' European students have made to school life. There's always an adjustment period and we hope you now feel that you fit in, part of the family. We are very aware that some of you, from both groups, have gone out of your way to participate in school life. Some of you have made such an impression on your teachers that you have earned a nomination for a merit award in the short time you have been with us. We'll see how you fare in May at the award ceremony.

Sometimes it is helpful to think of Absenteeism at school in terms of what would happen if bad habits followed the student to work.

Many parents grew up with the old terms such as A's and B's and Leaving Cert and Diploma. Some of the way these things are spoken of has changed. It might be interesting for parents to see where their own qualifications fit in.
